The aim and the objectives of the association

          The aim of the EU-RO-In Association is promoting the Romanian cultural values and traditions in Europe and to promote European values in Romania, to develop an authentic democracy and a smooth integration of our country in the EU and among the countries with economic advanced social and political development.

The aim and the objectives of the association are:

a) active and effective participation in the process of modernization and democratization in Romania;

b) improve the legislative framework in Romania in accordance with EU and other international documents and regulations aimed at democracy and human rights;

c) strengthening partnership between civil society and local and central government;

d) involve the citizens in decision-making and public policy, in solving community problems;

e) ensure the transparency in the functioning of public institutions and increasing their responsibilities in relation to citizens as direct beneficiaries of public services;

f) performance of control civil servants about the democratic principles of public institutions, to defend the fundamental values of humanity, citizens rights and liberties at the local, national, European and worldwide levels;

g) defend and respect the human rights as they are stipulated in international treaties;

h) promote equal opportunities between men and women, fight against social exclusion and discrimination, ethnic, racial, cultural, political or otherwise;

i) promote elites from various areas: educational, economic, social, cultural and political;

j) educate citizens regarding the powers and duties of public authorities;

k) informe citizens on issues of public interest;

l) promote collaboration and mutual assistance to citizens, especially those belonging to disadvantaged groups;

m) organize activities for their personal and professional training and development of disadvantaged groups, for people involved in formal and non-formal adult education, youth and children;

n) highlight people with outstanding results in formal and non formal education, and those with a special contribution in the promotion and protection of human rights and the Romanian and European values by creating its own system of rewards, medals, titles and awards;
